TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Vigo County Sheriff’s Department has announced changes following a school shooting in Connecticut.
Deputies will immediately begin foot patrols inside of the county middle and elementary schools.
Each county middle and elementary school will be visited on a daily basis. This does not include the three high schools, which already have police on site.
Sheriff Ewing has requested Reserve Deputies be present at all county middle and elementary schools at the start of the school day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
