Valley voters discuss debate issues

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One day after President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney squared off for their second debate, voters in the Wabash Valley reflected on what they heard.

But while the candidates discussed several issues, News 10 wanted to know what issues local voters would like to learn more about. We posed the question to our Facebook followers and drew a wide variety of responses:

“Developing bigger and better programs to help those with special needs,” wrote Patty Jones Wells.

“(I want to) hear about where the national defense budget will stand,” wrote Ryan Aaron Kleptz. “Years ago the defense budget was cut and never raised back up … so it’s under budget still and already has a huge affect on how our military operates and the benefits the men and women who serve their country will get.”

“Environmental issues … i.e. global warming,” wrote Rhiannon Rae Russell.

“Education,” wrote James Lanham.
