Union Hosp. asks city to vacate property

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local hospital looks to expand medical care on its property.

At Thursday night's city council Sunshine Meeting, Union Hospital asked the city of Terre Haute to vacate some property near the hospital.

They asked the city to vacate three alley ways near 7th and 8th avenues, just off of 6th street.

They also asked the city to vacate a portion of 7th avenue between 6th and 6 1/2 streets.

The goal is to provide space for a new office for United Associated Physicians
Union Hospital's CEO says he's excited about the potential build.
