Trash leads police to a meth lab in Vigo County

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Two people remain in jail after a meth bust in Vigo County. Officials followed a "trash trail" to 3556 Limberlost Lane, north of Seelyville.

The trail began in Clay county, where detectives found items in the trash that were used to cook meth.

The investigation led them to a home in Vigo County.

Five people were inside the house when officers arrived including the homeowner Mark Ditto of Seelyville, Frank Ford of Terre Haute, Audrea Marendt and Malachi House, both of Indianapolis, and Sara Slaughter of Clinton.

Ditto was in court Friday morning for manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of controlled substances. His bond is set at 100-thousand dollars, no 10 percent allowed.

Ford was also in court on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine.
His bond is set at 50-thousand dollars with no 10 percent.

Marendt, House, and Slaughter were arrested for visiting a common nuisance.

They either had active warrants in other counties and will be transported to those counties, or they were released on their own recognizance.
