Ties between Cobblestone and Vigo Co. Commission

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A twist in a long-standing dispute between an area apartment complex and a local community fighting it.

Wednesday night, members of the Woodgate subdivision and other homeowners surrounding Cobblestone Crossings met once again with the Vigo County Area Planning Commission.

Neighbors are still pushing for a wall to be built between the properties.

Nothing has been decided by the commission and homeowners want answers.

Wednesday night, some new information was revealed.

"We've had a member of the area planning commission admit that he is a shareholder in Cobblestone and that he voted on the zoning at the area planning commission meeting, which is a clear conflict of interest according to Vigo County law," said Mike Poinsett, President of P.O.N.D., an area homeowners group.

That member is Norm Froderman.

Neighbors say they only have a few options left in the case. One is a stop work order and another involves legal action.
