TERRE HAUTE, IND. (WTHI) - Area artists, chefs, and community volunteers came together Saturday evening for the 3rd Annual Soup Bowl Benefit.
The event was held at the Maryland community church.
Folks who got tickets received a handmade bowl at the start off their dinner. Each bowl was donated by local artists around the Wabash valley.
The dinner featured a large variety of locally made soups from local chefs in the area.
Sister Mary Montgomery was very satisfied with the turnout.
"It's just a wonderful event. It brings a number of musicians [and artists together]. [It was] a good social event for a very good cause,” said Sister Mary Margaret
All of the money raised at tonight’s event went to the Terre Haute Catholic Charities.
The dinner raised nearly $20,000 last year.
