TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Terre Haute's mayor looks forward to the upcoming year.
Duke Bennett gave his state of the city address today from the Vigo County Public Library.
As in years past, the mayor has a series of slides prepared to show those in attendance what the last year looked like and where he hopes to lead the city in the year to come.
One of the things he's most excited about is work at the waste water treatment plant.
"I'm really excited about getting rid of half of the smell with this one project we're doing right now and then start the design and implementation of the second project that will completely eliminate the smell so, that's been a goal forever in this community and within the next couple of years we'll completely eliminate the smell,” Mayor Duke Bennett said.
Tuesday’s address was streamed live here on WTHITV.com.
