Terre Haute car dealership spreads holiday cheer

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Terre Haute car dealership owner and employees took some time out of their busy schedules to spread some holiday cheer.

Toyota of Terre Haute kicked off the holiday weekend by showing support for several local families, sponsoring a total of five families in need.

Employees gathered with the families to eat food and give gifts to help celebrate Christmas early.

It’s a tradition the business is happy to be a part of each year, and provides memories for those involved long after the event finishes.

“To see the looks on the faces of the parents and the kids,” Eric Avrams of Toyota of Terre Haute said in reference to why they put this event on annually.  “When they were in here last year, there wasn’t a dry eye in the whole place.”

Avrams said seeing the families not have to worry about troubles and just celebrate the spirit of Christmas, brings joy to him and all of the employees.

The dealership said they’re just happy to serve the community in a special way during the holiday season.
