WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTHI) - A few officers from the Terre Haute Police Dept. honored fallen officers during National Police Week at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The walls on the Memorial honor thousands of names of men and women who had fallen in the line of duty since the U.S. began.
Regrettably, this year, 163 names were etched into those walls, one of which was a man that died serving Terre Haute.
For the first time, a few members of the Terre Haute Police Dept. sat by the name of a brother-in-arms they served with, Brent Long.
