CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A Terre Haute man is dead following a Thursday morning accident in Clay County, Ind.
The driver has been identified as Herman L. Hedden of Terre Haute.
Police say around 7:30 a.m., the Clay County Sheriff's Department responded to an accident on the north side of SR 42 just west of CR 100 East.
Police say Hedden was trapped inside of the vehicle at the time of their arrival.
After he was removed from the vehicle, officials decided he was not stable enough to be flown from the scene.
Hedden was taken by TransCare to St. Vincent Hospital in Brazil, Ind. where he later died as a result of his injuries.
