TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Around 300 people gathered outside the Vigo County Courthouse for a Wabash Valley Tea Party rally.
Tea partiers held signs and cheered for speakers.
Five candidates for Congress took the stage to vie for votes.
Many of the Tea Partiers said they are not with one party or movement.
They just want to limit the size of government.
"We are not linked to anyone party. We just love our country. We just believe in the way our country was founded. We need to go back to that." Tea Partier Larry Gilaspy
News 10 kept an eye out for protestors around the rally but did not see any.
