SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A Sullivan County man will serve 45 years in prison after he killed his ex-girlfriend.
Monday morning a Sullivan Superior Court judge accepted a plea deal for Gregory Hale, 35, in connection with the death of Jennifer Peak.
Hale had been charged with one count of murder and two counts of arson.
Police found Peak strangled in her home June 21, 2009 near Carlisle in Sullivan County. Peak was the mother of Hale's child.
Her trailer and truck had been set on fire. Hale also pled guilty to the arson charges. He will serve those sentences for those crimes at the same time as the murder sentence.
