Sullivan County burn ban reissued

SULLIVAN CO., Ind. (WTHI) - News 10 has learned from scanner traffic that the burn ban in Sullivan County has been reissued.

Residents should be advised that the following activities are prohibited at this time:

  1. Campfires and other recreational fires unless enclosed in a fire ring, with dimensions of 23 inches in diameter and 10 inches high or higher;
  2. The burning of debris, such as timber, vegetation, including such debris that results from building construction activities;
  3. Open burning of any kind using conventional fuel such as wood, or other combustible matter.

Charcoal from permitted grills shall not be removed from the grills until the charcoal has been thoroughly extinguished.
