TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Local engineers displayed the future of environmentally friendly cars on Sunday

Sunday, Rose Hulman students displayed last year's Eco Car, along with a showing of the film, "Revenge of the Electric Car."

Visitors could also look into local hybrids that current Wabash Valley car dealers are selling. It was all to help educate members of the community on the future of the automobile industry.

"Whether or not they're going to be designing the hybrids or looking to buy one or just thinking about their own driving habits, it's a great opportunity to see people actually open their eyes up, ask questions and get interested and get involved in it,” Jon Nibert of the Eco Car team said.

Rose Hulman will begin work on their next eco car later this year.
