TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - It's a topic that dominated conversation across the nation Wednesday. News 10 spoke with students at Indiana State University about President Obama's announcement today on gun control.

News 10 spoke with the president of a local Students for Concealed Carry , Ayrton Ingle.

While Ingle doesn't speak on behalf of the national organization, he does have some strong thoughts on the issues involving gun control.

"By going after them and trying to ban those things, I think that President Obama and a lot of his constituents are alienating a lot of the people of the United States." Ingle said.

News 10 also spoke with some other students who have their own views.

Sarah Diekos and Allyson Nicholson work in elementary schools and attend ISU. They both had a stance on whether or not the government should ban assault weapons.

"I definitely think that they should be banned. With everything changing, you know, everything's already changed after the shooting and things are probably going to change even more. So it's something we're going to have to adjust to even more."
