TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Local students experience the fun side of math at the Terre Haute Children's Museum.
Parents and children met Thursday evening to participate in the Go Figure Program.
The program will be held on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Children's Museum and will continue for the next five weeks.
Each meeting will have a theme to the lesson. The theme on Thursday was football math.
Activities included a table top football game to test the participant's ability to move the ball down the field based on their knowledge of math and football.
"We need to encourage our youngsters to look at the world a little differently," said Patty Butwan. "If we are going to be competitive we have to have young people that are skilled in math and science."
To wrap up the night, students got to meet members of the ISU football team and get their autographs.
