TERRE HAUTE, IND (WTHI) - Fifth-Third Bank and Smith and Company are partnering together to provide tax assistance to folks around the Wabash Valley.

Chances for Indiana Youth and United Way of the Wabash Valley are hosting "Money Matters."

This opportunity provides financial understanding to families around the Wabash Valley.

This year, organizers are taking it a step further. If you go to the class, Smith and Company will do your taxes for free!

"It's a unique opportunity to get them a better understanding of the importance of having a bank account, understanding back accounts.  Then, we're trying to help them with their taxes and get their tax returns done," said Brandon Halleck of the Chances for Indiana Youth

If you get a chance to make it to this event, Chances is hosting another tax assistance day on February 21.

For more information on this event, you can view the Chances for Indiana Youth’s Facebook page by clicking here .
