VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - A change in the weather should mean a big increase in construction in the Wabash Valley.
Cantwell Marathon says they had hoped their expansion project would be well underway. So far, it is stuck in the mud.
The winter weather has created problems for construction schedules on several projects in the area.
"We didn't anticipate such a cold, wet winter that we've gotten so far," said Dane Cantwell.
"You can't control the weather and when it's been as long and cold a winter as we've had it's been difficult to get out and do construction projects throughout the county," said Marc McNeece.
Construction crews working on deadlines are expected to work a lot of long hours as they try to catch up on projects that were slowed this winter.
