VINCENNES, IND. (WTHI) - Authorities in southern Indiana are looking for a fire bug that torched a home.
Earlier this week fire fighters were called out to battle a blaze in a home on North 4th Street in Vincennes.
The fire destroyed the home.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Fire fighters say they were suspicious about the cause of the fire and called in an investigator from the Indiana Fire Marshal's Office for assistance.
"We had the Fire Marshal's Office in to investigate," said Vincennes Fire Chief Gordon Becher. "The fire looked suspicious and those were the findings that he did come up with. That it was a set fire. There was accelerants used inside the home."
The investigation into the North 4th Street fire is on-going.
Anyone who saw anything prior to the blaze or with any information should contact the Vincennes Police Department at 812-882-1630.
