Police find drug activity at park

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - Three people are behind bars after police say they found methamphetamine labs inside a local park.

At around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, Vincennes police responded to reports of drug activity at two campsites inside Kimmell Park.

Officers located adjoining tents near the river bank and found multiple packages of  methamphetamine, paraphernalia, scales, pipes, syringes and drug needles.

Chris Myers, 37, and his wife, Nicole Myers, 34, were arrested.

They're both preliminarily charged with possession of meth, reckless possession of paraphernalia, and manufacturing meth.
     
Inside a second tent owned by the Myers, police say they found more drug related items and several one-pot meth labs.

That wasn't the only drug activity found at Kimmell Park.
 
Police say they found items for making meth and observed meth use inside an R-V trailer.

They also say they found several items used to make meth as well as meth labs outside the trailer.

They arrested Brant D. Smith, 39, who was living in the camper.

Among other charges, police say all three face charges of manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a public park, a class "A" felony.

All are being held in the Knox County jail on $25,000 bond.
