VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - A Vincennes couple have been arrested for manufacturing meth near a daycare.

On Monday, Indiana State Police received information that Brandon Whiting, 26, of Vincennes, had an active warrant out of Sullivan County for failure to appear.

After arriving at his apartment, troopers spotted a vehicle parked near Whiting's apartment that had been reported stolen.

Further investigation revealed the stolen vehicle was owned by Whiting's girlfriend, Ashley Welton, 25.

Troopers then searched the apartment and found meth, drug paraphernalia and ingredients commonly used to manufacture meth.

A search of Welton's vehicle revealed more meth making materials and ingredients.

Officials say Welton's vehicle was parked 25-feet from St. John's Lutheran Daycare.
