GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The Department of Natural Resources has confirmed the presence of a mountain lion.
DNR officials say the animal was spotted in rural Greene County.
They are not sure if it is wild or a formerly captive cat.
They used motion-sensitive cameras to take pictures the animal.
This is the first confirmed sighting of a mountain lion since the DNR put a new policy into effect March 1, 2010 to evaluate reported sightings.
