TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Folks from the Wabash Valley satisfied their sweet tooth and gave back to an important cause.

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary of the Woods hosted their annual bake sale, sponsored by the gift shop at Providence Center.

Baked by the sisters, some of the goodies include homemade pies, cakes, fudges, breads and jams.

The event also included craft items and a raffle.

Proceeds will benefit Sisters of Providence ministries.

"They give a lot to the community. They do this all from their hearts. They love to bake, they love to see the community come out to their home if you will, and share in what they have here," Gift Shop Manager Debbie Victor said.

Organizers said traffic was steady, with several hundred people coming through.
