TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Crews were called to the scene of a semi versus bicycle accident Monday night.

The accident happened near 3rd and Swan Streets in Terre Haute at around 10:00 p.m..

A witness says the man on the bicycle was crossing 3rd Street when he was stuck by the semi.

The bicyclist was transported to Union Hospital: no word on his condition.

The accident is still under investigation.
