Terre Haute, Ind. (WTHI) - One Wabash Valley extravaganza is making its way to Terre Haute for the weekend and local law enforcement are working to keep things safe.
Scheid Diesel is hosting it's annual event at the Vigo County Fairgrounds on Terre Haute's south side.
Spectators can watch big rigs and tricked out trucks.
Each year, the Extravaganza brings thousands people and dollars to the community.
Indiana law enforcers say they're adding extra measures to make sure everyone has a good time.
"The Indiana State Police are going to be working hard with other agencies this weekend," Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts said. "Vigo County Sheriff's Dept., Terre Haute City Police Department, Honey Creek Fire Department, Task Force 7, so on and so forth along with Scheid Diesel and Company and folks. What we're going to looking for is to make sure we get folks into the Scheid Diesel safely and get them out of the Diesel Extravaganza safely."
The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza will take place at the Vigo County Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday.
Police are encouraging everyone who attends to have a fun, but safe weekend.
