TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A section of north 6th street has been closed down.

Next week, the road will be torn up to replace storm drains, sidewalks and curbs.

The work comes several years after this area saw massive flooding in June 2008.

The road is closed between Maple Avenue and Linden Street.

Maple is also closed between 3rd and 6th and a half streets.
