TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Paying tribute to our fallen and currently living soldiers from past wars is the least of the honor and praise they deserve for their sacrifices.
One local war memorial was rededicated to the soldiers of the Vietnam War.
It all happened at the Vigo County Courthouse.
Members of our armed forces gathered to help rededicate the Vigo County Vietnam Memorial Saturday afternoon, which was recently relocated to the courthouse.
Members of the community, including Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett, and Terre Haute Police Chief John Plasse were on hand.
The program included a presentation of colors and special guest speaker Major General R. Martin Umbarger.
