TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Students show off their brain power,competing to be champs. It was the 20th Annual Geography Quiz Bowl.
Ten teams from Middle Schools around the Wabash Valley competed tonight in Terre Haute. The students answered geography questions in three levels of difficulty.
Storm Team 10 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Orpurt was on hand as the quiz master.
Organizers say the event is a wonderful way to encourage students to learn more about the subject.
"And our students need to know more about the world and this is a great way to get them plugged in to geography and what's happening around the world." Bryan Taylor, Event Organizer says.
This year Otter Middle School came out on top and North Clay came in second.
