TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Family, friends, and fellow law enforcers all gathered Wednesday night at City Hall in Terre Haute. They took a ride to remember Officer Brent Long.

Several other departments from around the Valley made a point to be in the processional. One by one, they flashed lights and sounded sirens. They began their drive to honor their fallen friend.

They traveled down Ohio Street then, they turned on to the very street named after Officer Long.  Then they arrived at the Terre Haute Police training facility, and exchanged some words.

It was a night of emotion, but officers we spoke with said it was a good time to remember.

"It's certainly a special time for all of us. We can get together, we can reminisce about some of the stories that, Brent... as we know he was a fabulous police officer, outstanding man, outstanding father, outstanding husband," Detective Troy Davis said.
