TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A man is behind bars after a late night hit and run.

Police say the driver of a Mustang crashed into several parked cars and poles around Terre Haute.

A jailer noticed a car stuck in the mud at State Road 63 and Barnhardt road in northern Vigo County and called police.

That car turned out to belong to the suspect.

Police and K-9 searched the nearby woods for more than an hour.

The K-9 eventually found the suspect, Brandon Orman.

Orman suffered several dog bites, but was treated and taken into custody.
