TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One Wabash Valley family is getting back presents that were stolen from them before Christmas Day.

Terre Haute Police were able to provide the family with a little, extended Christmas cheer after discovering the family's stolen presents in a stolen car.

Police found the vehicle last week on Terre Haute's northside.

Monday afternoon, the owners of the presents claimed those gifts.

Mildred Marina said the presents had been missing since Christmas Eve.

"I was thrilled to death, because I just thought the stuff we bought was gone,” said Mildred Marina.  “[We thought] we wouldn’t get it back.”

Detectives tell us no arrests have been made in the case.
