TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The U.S. Marshal Task Force continues to search for two people.
Indiana State Police and the U.S. Marshal Task Force were trying to serve a warrant Wednesday afternoon during a traffic stop at 25th Street and Fort Harrison Avenue.
That's when the three occupants of the car ran off.
Additional officers were called in, and they were able to arrest the person they originally were looking for, Terre Haute resident, 31-year-old John Robert Brown.
They arrested him near Fruitridge and Maple Avenues.
However, the two others got away.
"They were last seen at Fruitridge and Maple on these tracks right here behind us. Terre Haute canine tracked and we got one in custody and there's two still at large, a male and female," Indiana State Police Trooper Michael Featherling said.
Brown will be charged for possession of methamphetamine, resisting law enforcement, driving while suspended, reckless driving, and failure to stop for an accident.
The identities of the two others who ran are not known, and police do not believe they're a threat to the public.
If you have any information, police want you to call 911.
