TERRE HAUTE, IND (WTHI) - Terre Haute residents were taking the plunge for their community on Saturday at the Fifth Annual Polar Plunge.
The annual event is a fundraiser for Special Olympics of Indiana.
Multiple divers lined up to help raise money for the program. They had to raise a minimum of $75 in order to participate.
Trey Porter from the ROTC said the plunge is more than just a fundraiser to him.
“It’s just important for us to give back. This country’s done so much for all of us. We just want to give back as much as we can in all aspects,” said Trey
The Polar Plunge saw some notable faces Saturday as well, including Terre Haute mayor Duke Bennett.
