TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Michael Pine, 29, faces more than 70 years in prison if he's convicted of the charges against him.
This after police say a meth lab exploded in June in his West Terre Haute home while his wife and three children slept inside.
According to police, Pine was severely burned when the meth lab exploded.
After spending more than a month in Wishard Hospital's burn unit, Pine was transferred to the Vigo County Jail.
On Monday he was formally charged with one count of dealing methamphetamine and three counts of neglect of a dependent, all felonies.
Police said Pine's three children, ages 7, 5 and 11 months are in the care of his parents.
As for Pine, he is out of jail on bond. It's unknown if he's allowed contact with his kids while awaiting trial.
Michael Pine is due back in court Tuesday.
