TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Terre Haute is celebrating Super Bowl champ, Steve Weatherford.
The Terre Haute native is returning home to celebrate the New York Giants win over the New England Patriots.
A parade and rally will be held in his honor Friday.
You can check out the parade, starting at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Some Vigo County school bands, the mayor, and the Weatherford family will part of the parade.
Steve even asked some of his former high school teammates to join him in the parade.
It’s all to celebrate a hometown boy bringing a Super Bowl ring back to Terre Haute
"I just hope everyone comes out and lines the streets to show their appreciation because we may never have this opportunity again,” Vigo County Schools Superintendent Danny Tanoos said.
The parade route starts at 1:30 at 7 th and Wabash Avenue.
It will then head to Brent D. Long Memorial Way, North to Maple Avenue, ending at Terre Haute North Vigo High School.
