Woman died from injuries sustained in house fire

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - -UPDATE-

A house fire claimed the life of a Terre Haute woman Saturday.  It happened at around 4:30 p.m. at a home on Locust Street.

According to the Vigo County Coroner's Office 75-year-old Judith Bingham was found in the kitchen of the home.
     
According to fire officials, Bingham suffered severe burns to 75 percent of her body. She was taken to Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

VC Coroner's informed News 10 that Bingham died as a result of her injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
