TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Olive Garden in Terre Haute provided a free meal to employees at the Union Hospital emergency room Monday. They got lasagna, spaghetti, salad, breadsticks, and even a little tiramisu.
More than 700 restaurants nationwide are doing the same thing for their local hospitals, fire departments or police departments.
"It's fantastic," said Olive Garden Sales Manager Darin Reynolds. "They always appreciate it. It's great to see their faces light up. You cannot ask for a better feeling than that."
It's the 9th year for the Labor Day service, a nice 'Thank you' to those who labor for their community all year long.
