TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Emergency crews respond to a train versus car Monday evening in Terre Haute.
It happened around 6:30 on 14th and Beech Streets.
Police say a female driver used her windshield wipers to wash her windows, which blocked her view. With her view blocked, she drove up onto the tracks.
She then saw an approaching train, and jumped out of her car before the train struck the vehicle.
The driver of the car was not injured.
