TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Want to know where you're taxpayer dollars are going? A new Web site breaks it down.

It's http://www.transparency.in.gov . Indiana State auditor, Tim Berry, went to Ivy Tech today to explain.

The site shows how much money is given to each State department, what salaries state workers are making, where State money is spent, and much more.

"It can be a one stop portal to gain a better understanding of how tax payer dollars are spent. Because, quite frankly, it's not the State's money. It's taxpayer money. And government needs to be accountable back to those taxpayers and provide that information," Berry said.

The site is created and maintained by the State Auditor's office along with other State departments.
