TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One year ago to the day, Terre Haute police officer Brent Long died in the line of duty.

While his death was hard on everyone who knew him, it was especially hard on his mother.

For the first time ever, Cheryl Long spoke out about the day she lost her son, the day that started a never ending nightmare.
