SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTHI) - Police used a graphic real-life scenario to teach kids not to drink and drive.

It was a mock accident created by Sullivan Police at Sullivan High School.

Police created a story line which included kids racing in a drag race after drinking and driving.

The story ended with a fake fatal accident.

Every part mirrored the real thing including crashed cars, fake blood, and even a Lifeline helicopter.

"So often kids hear about DUIs being bad but until they actually see it. Today they're going to get to see and extraction, bringing bodies out of vehicles. And, it really hits home when you have a visual impact there," Sullivan County Prosecutor Robert Hunley said.

The entire student body at Sullivan High School witnessed the accident.
