TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Your donated toys are being put to great use.

All the toys collected from this year's Toys for Tots campaign were handed out Wednesday.

Those toys will ensure needy children here in the Wabash Valley will have something to open on Christmas morning.

More than 6,000 toys were collected during this year's drive.

"It's an opportunity to give back to the community for supporting the Marine Corps for all these years, so it's a good feeling to do it, you a get a lot of thanks from people telling us that they wouldn't have a a Christmas if it wasn't for us," Marine Corps Staff Sergeant James Lunsford said.

Marines helped 2,000  families this year.
