Man leads police on high speed chase

CLINTON, Ind. (WTHI) - A Clinton, Indiana man is facing charges after leading police on a high speed chase.
At around 8:15 Monday night Parke County sheriff's deputies said they observed the driver of a Ford Ranger trying to run another vehicle off the road at U.S. 41 and State Road 163.
The driver, 42-year-old James Vandevender, then pulled into a lot near the intersection.
When approached by deputies, Vandevender reportedly drove his vehicle toward them before taking off.
The suspect led Park and Vermillion County police on a high speed chase.
The chase finally ended near the intersection of County Road 240 East and Center Street in Clinton when the suspect crashed into a tree.
Vandevender was treated for a leg injury at an Indianapolis hospital.
Police say during their investigation they found two active meth labs in Vandevender's truck.
