Man fires gun during property dispute

MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) - One man is in jail after arguing about a piece of property and firing a gun.

Police arrested 60-year-old Stephen Lenges of West Terre Haute Saturday afternoon.

It started when he visited a house at 509 South 9th Street in Marshall, Illinois.    

He and another person were arguing about property.

That's when he fired a gun.   

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

So far, Lenges is being charged with Discharging of a Fire Arm.

He is currently in the Clark County Jail.

News 10 will continue to follow the investigation.
