TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A labor of love from a local restaurant as a thanks for those who serve our community.
Workers at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute got free pasta today thanks to Olive Garden.
The restaurant makes a point each year to say thank you to those who work on Labor Day to keep us safe.
More than 750 restaurants nationwide are doing the same thing for their local hospitals, fire departments or police departments.
"Obviously a lot of different businesses have a lot of different ways of giving back to the community. As a local restaurant, food is our best way to do it," said Billy Payne, a Sales Manager at Olive Garden.
This is the 11th year Olive Garden has given free meals on Labor Day.
