TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Local law enforcement is taking more steps to make pseudoephedrine for sale by prescription-only.
On Wednesday, Vigo County Sheriff Jon Marvel, along with local law enforcement and the prosecutor, will head to Indiana Statehouse for a study committee meeting.
Sheriff Marvel will be speaking to legislators about the meth problem in Vigo County and the Wabash Valley.
Marvel says he hopes it will make law-makers take the steps to make pseudoephedrine, an ingredient in meth, only available with a doctor's prescription.
"We need somebody to take that cheese always from the mouse so we don't have to chase it any longer," said Vigo County Sheriff Jon Marvel.
The meeting starts Wednesday 9 a.m. in Indianapolis.
