VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - A local community will gather together Sunday evening to honor those killed in one of the most horrendous school shootings in our nation's history.

A candle light vigil—which will be open to all—will be held at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Terre Haute on Sunday, December 16 at 5:30 p.m.

For those planning to attend, you are required to bring your own candles.  Unless extras are brought by others, no candles will be handed out.

Krogers on Wabash will also be providing balloons to be released at the event.

If you would like to attend, you may find the school here:

  • Benjamin Franklin Elementary School
  • 1600 Dr. Iverson C. Bell Lane
  • Terre Haute, IN 47807

If you have any further questions, feel free to email Benjamin Franklin Elementary PTO President Adrian Strong at benfranklinpto@ymail.com or call at (812) 264-3084.

You can also contact Sarah Wassberg by email at sarahwassberg@gmail.com or by phone at (812) 241-4124
