TERRE HAUTE, IN (WTHI) - An auction Friday raises money for Japan earthquake relief.
The Indiana State University Cunningham Memorial Library hosted a silent auction. Everything from tools to toys was up for bids.
The items were donated by library workers. All the proceeds from the auction will go to the American Red Cross to aid the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
"We help in in times both when it's been here at home as well as when it's been abroad. It's just a terrific, terrific bunch of people to work with," Dean Alberta Comer said.
The library at ISU is also planning another fundraiser next Friday.
There will be a baked potato and salad bar from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 dollars and include a drink and dessert.
