Ladies compete for the Miss Banks of the Wabash

TERRE HAUTE, IND (WTHI) - The Terre Haute Hippodrome Theater was bursting with life Sunday afternoon. Friends and family gathered for the judging of the Miss Banks for the Wabash 2013.

24 women competed for the Miss Banks of the Wabash crown. Each participant had their own qualities to present to the judges.

Each of the contestants had a chance to win scholarships as well as the annual crown.

The ladies were each judged on three categories: a talent, an evening gown, and an onstage current event question.

Ayanna Sykes won the Miss Banks of the Wabash crown. Virginia Deig was named the Outstanding Teen

The event helps many women ready themselves for their futures.

Congratulations to all who participated from in this years pageant.
