TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Some local leaders held Labor Day festivities.
Over 200 people from various labor unions and friends of organized labor gathered at the Holiday Inn on the south side of Terre Haute.
The crowd included gubernatorial candidate John Gregg and U.S. Senate candidate Joe Donnelly
Tonight's gathering was a chance for leaders to meet and talk about the future.
"We're concerned about our future and we're rallying together to work with the people who are the friends of organized labor and working men and woman and listen to, as their constituents to what we're doing here," said Bill Treash, President of the Wabash Valley Central Labor Council.
Treash said this election will be very important for labor unions.
